E. Guigal Cote Rotie "La Mouline" 2018
Varietal: Viognier
Darkly pigmented, medium to deep ruby-red with slight purple notes on the rim. The aromas are savory. Spicy red-fruits on the nose are peppery, toasty, cedary & have a meaty aspect. On the palate mulberry & loganberry fruit has savory/meaty overtones. The wine is full-bodied with a core of licorice, black-olive & leather fruit. Plentiful tannins give some grip but are balanced by ripe fruit. Warming alcohol leaves the finish with pepper & cedar notes. Flavours are very long.
